Beauty is in the eye of the beholder

As the beauty of spring starts to engulf us in sensory delight, with whiffs of jasmine filling the air and splashes of colour around every corner, it’s the perfect time to reflect on what beauty means to each of us.

We come from a continent where we are spoilt for beauty choice especially when it comes to nature, animals and people. Every day we are surrounded by beautiful images (on and offline). But when we took a moment to pause and consider how we consume beauty we discovered that visuals were really just the beginning. The more we get to know you, our treasured readers and Rosella fans, we realise that we simply help compliment the true beauty that is within you. Beauty is not skin deep – it is far deeper than that. Your courage, kindness, confidence, your victories and the way you love are qualities that bring about timeless beauty. As attractive as a gorgeous face or body is, do you not find those attributes become even more beautiful if the person is authentic, caring and giving? It’s as though those qualities help transform the ordinary into extraordinary.

With all the inspiration of spring around you, there’s no better time to pause and take a moment (or 2 or 3) to appreciate your true beauty within.

Lupita Nyongo’s gorgeous upcoming Vogue cover is a masterpiece! An African icon, representing what true beauty is.

We love this springtime inspired celebrity florals – just stunning!

Beauty comes from a life well lived. If you’ve lived well, your smile lines are in the right places, and your frown lines aren’t too bad, what more do you need?
